Delete my account
Last updated: September 23, 2026
You can delete your Habit Duck account and all your data yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. If you can't sign in, there are instructions below for requesting it by email.
From the app (recommended)
- Open Habit Duck and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab (“Ajustes”).
- Scroll to the Account section (“Cuenta”).
- Tap “Eliminar mi cuenta” (Delete my account).
- Read the warning and confirm. For security the app will ask you to identify yourself again: your password if you signed up with email, or picking your Google account again if you used Google. That check is the confirmation that it's really you.
Deletion is immediate. There is no waiting period and no “deactivated” state.
What gets deleted
- Your account in Firebase Authentication: the email, the hashed password and the Google link if you used one. It is removed entirely.
- All app data on that phone: habits, history and streaks, level and XP, duck health, cosmetics, calendar events and image, preferences and Pomodoro settings.
- The copy of your progress kept with your account: the same habits, duck state, calendar and preferences the app uploads so you can get them back on another phone.
Deleting the account also deletes local data, and that isn't optional. On-device data isn't scoped per account, so leaving it there would hand it to whoever signs in on that device next.
The app deletes your account's copy first and the rest after. If you have no connection at that moment, it deletes nothing: that way a copy is never left orphaned without its account. Try again with internet.
Afterwards there is nothing to restore: deletion is permanent. If you only want a fresh start without losing the account, delete your habits from the Agregar (Add) tab instead.
We keep no copy of your data after deletion. The only things that may remain, for a limited time and for technical or legal reasons, are our hosting provider's access logs and any emails you had sent us.
Separately, purchase records are not ours to delete: once any exist, Google Play and RevenueCat keep them for the periods their tax and accounting obligations require, even after your account is gone. That deletion is requested from Google directly. There are no such records today, because nothing can be purchased in the app yet.
If you can't sign in
Email support@habitduck.com from your account's email address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We need it to come from that address to verify the account is yours.
We will confirm deletion within 30 days at most (in practice, much sooner). Remember that data stored on your phone can only be removed from the device itself: uninstall the app or clear its data from Android's settings.
What if I have a subscription?
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription bought on Google Play. Cancel it from your Google Play account before deleting, or it will keep renewing. (In the current version of the app there are no payments yet.)
